With the help of the astronomer, the Internet, an astronaut, books and the writer of the mysterious note, Jack and Annie are taken
    on Now Showing.a wondrous journey of adventure and learning.
    This exciting voyage will carry visitors to the planets and far out into the Universe where Jack and Annie nearly get… Well, we don’t want to give it away. The adventure is just beginning!

    Housing a state of the art Mediaglobe I projector, the Sam Houston State Planetarium is capable of taking visitors on a virtual tour of the night sky as it would appear for an observer anywhere in the world , thousands of years in the past or thousands of years in the future. The planetarium is open to the public at the scheduled times and admission to the shows is always free. In the past we have hosted Boy and Girl Scout troops, the local Audubon Society, and local schools.

    Admission is free. A visitor's parking pass will be necessary for shows earlier than 5:00 and can be obtained at the Visitor and Alumni Center for the parking lot in front of Farrington. The planetarium is in Room 102.

    We have a new show for you called Chaos and Order. For more information, click on Now Showing.
    The Great Space Race tells the story of the U.S. and Russian space programs, from Sputnik to the ISS missions following the Columbia disaster. A family show with something for everyone -- audiences sometimes stay for a few minutes to discuss the events covered in the program.
